fascinator unbox yourself
This fascinator, called 'unbox yourself', is as flat as a piece of cardboard when you receive it. Made from a double layer of sinamay you fold it into the shape of a box, securing it by closing the push buttons and once you've decided which colour to wear center front inserting the two ends of the hairelastic into the opposite neon coloured slots. You receive a tutorial with this fascinator, just follow the steps 1 till 4 and you will be the shining star of the event.
Fascinator 'unbox yourself', was born when taking part in the 2023 hat competition organised by the Dutch hat association. The theme was foldable follies and we received packaging/ a box in which the hat needed to fit, when sending it in for the juries.
As I am a lover of atypical forms I decided that the shape of the box itself was to be my starting point. Researching how a multilevel shape like a beam could form unity with the oval shape of the head was great fun and various designs emerged. This design was my favorite as the broken up beams form smaller parts that hug the head.
I used a double layer of two different colours of sinamay in each of the multilevel shapes creating some extra colour depth and stitched the corner lines with neon yellow thread.
The fascinator doesn't have a fixed center back so it's up to you which colour you wear centre front. Just be sure to always attach the hairelstic in opposite corners as to have it behind your ears.

• 58 cm= M

Further more you have:
• 1fA = one fits all, not bound to any size wearable by every size
Other sizes in centimeters are anything between 54cm en 64cm. In general these are custom made sizes often used for personal designs or unique pieces.
To be able to chose the right size it is important to be accurate when measuring your head, ideally you let somebody else do it.
Go to work as follows:
With the help of a soft centimeter, measure around the head, starting at the front approximately 1cm above the eyebrows towards, approximately 1cm above, the ears and over the biggest part of the back of your head( that little bump on the back of your head). Please see picture to give you an idea.
If you are not sure that you are measuring in the right way please contact me. We can set up a Skype meet, so that I can guide the measuring. A friend at your side to help would come in handy, but is not insurpurable.
Once measured you can read in the tab sizes which size you need to choose. Choose the size closest to your measured size.
