cap captain braided jeans upcycle
Cap captain braided jeans recycle is a true upcycle product made from post consumer jeans that are washed, dried and dissected. The sideband is braided before assimilating the model. It comes without lining, keeping it cooler to the wear, but also because I don’t want to add new material except of course the head-size brace which is a new petersham ribbon from cotton. Mostly the head-size brace comes in black, but sometimes the braided part of the cap invites me to another color. The inside of the crown is over seamed( if you would prefer it lined there is a 100% cotton option) in dark blue and also all the other stitching comes in dark blue. The stiff visor is approximately 6cm long.
The cap captain braided jeans upcycle is inspired by the classis captains cap, which has a bit of air around the head, my design is a slim variation.
The cap captain braided jeans upcycle can be hand washed in lukewarm water in a bassin, dried with a towel, after which you mold it back to shape and let it dry. Iron if needed. If you feel this out of reach, you can always use my cleaning service.
PLEASE NOTE, The picture is an example of how these caps look, but as all post consumer jeans are different in color and wear, the cap you order could be different. This cap has stripes on the sideband, which is highly unusual and does normally not occur. I have divided the jeans in categories being, light blue, medium blue, dark blue, the one on the picture being medium blue, being the visor, which defines the color. The bottom of the sideband, the part with the button would thereby categorise as dark blue.

Other sizes in centimeters are anything between 54cm en 64cm. In general these are custom made sizes often used for personal designs or unique pieces.
To be able to chose the right size it is important to be accurate when measuring your head, ideally you let somebody else do it.
Go to work as follows:
With the help of a soft centimeter, measure around the head, starting at the front approximately 1cm above the eyebrows towards, approximately 1cm above, the ears and over the biggest part of the back of your head( that little bump on the back of your head). Please see picture to give you an idea.

Once measured you can read in the tab sizes which size you need to choose. Choose the size closest to your measured size.
